Check out the little mini Etsy to the right of my posts. Cool, huh? Click on it and it goes straight to my store. Nice. I love the people who run Etsy.

Well, sales have really slowed down in my Etsy shop. I am finding it hard to stay motivated to create. I think the validation I got with every sale really took over for the “create for the sake of creation”. Sellers in general have said that sales are slow so I’m not taking it personally. I also think that the market for knit items has shrunk since it’s getting to be spring.

I’ve decided to go into R&D mode on the hats, scarves, and mittens. They aren’t selling anymore. Plus, I have some great ideas for shag scarves and lacy mittens. It’s going to take me awhile to work out the patterns and get good at spinning shag. I'll have the new designs ready for the fall. I hope to spend more time practicing my spinning, too. Maybe I'll be good enough to actually sell yarn one of these days!

I’m focusing now on my greeting cards and ACEOs. The picture in this post is my newest card. They are really fun to make but also haven’t sold. sigh.

This is one of my greeting cards. I adhered a bunch of images to cardstock this summer. I've sold some as bookmarks and some as gift tags. Now, I'm sewing them to another piece of cardstock to make a card. Then, I'm hand stitching and appliqueing envelopes. It's so fun!
Wow. It's been a long time since I was able to post. Things got a little crazy in my personal life. Then, things calmed down. I've been creating all along. Making art for my Etsy shop is still super fun. Sales have really slowed since Christmas.

I'm making some new products these days. I've discovered that hand sewing is fantastic. So, I've been making ACEOs and greeting cards.

I love doing anything that has yarn or fabric. Or, if I can spin it or sew it - doesn't have to be yarn or fabric!
