I'm so glad these didn't sell at the craft fair! They are made from two leaves taken from a thrifted necklace. I love them!

Fabric is so beautiful.  These necklaces and earrings are made with vintage fabric.  I have all these tiny squares of fabric.  I love picking through them for just the right pattern.

Gifts for Moms who Knit

Do you know a knitter or spinner?  If you do, you probably know how obsessed fiber people can get.

My mom learned to knit when she was a very young girl.  She taught me to knit in 1996.  I grew up with yarn everywhere!  My obsession with all things yarny is probably genetic as my mother learned from her aunt.

I designed these earrings and necklaces to be simple but also unexpected.  As one of my students said, "Is that fuzzy?!"  The play of texture and metal makes for an eye catching piece.  These would make a great gift for a mom who loves yarn!

Craft fair display

That was fun! HandmadeMN Spring Market was great. The people were friendly and I made some sales! I guess it was much slower than usual but that suited me just fine for my first show.

Here are some pictures of our table. And one of my sister and me. It was fun to spend the day together!

I think the display turned out great!  I was pleasantly surprised by how many people came by and browsed. Honestly, very few people just walked by without stopping in for a closer look at something.

I do need to adjust my necklace display, though.  People didn't realize they could try on necklaces.  Maybe I just need to be more forward and let them know to try them on!

I loaded up this display a couple nights ago. It took about three hours! I'm so glad I didn't wait until the morning of the craft fair. I think it looks awesome. Someone needs to help me keep my expectations in check. :)

Almost show time!

Well folks. I think I am ready for the craft fair on Saturday! I have been working on it for so long that it feels a little unreal that it's actually happening.

I've been very busy creating items for the fair but I still took time to whip up a pair of earrings yesterday morning. What do you think?
