It's been one year since I listed my first items on Etsy. It has been such a lovely, wonderful, challenging year.

I've hit some milestones: I sold 105 things and gained 385 hearts in my first year. Besides that, four of my friends have opened shops! Most importantly, I feel like my items are really good. I started out not sure about what I loved to do. In the past year, I have really become a fiber artist. I knit and I sew and I like to mess up my yarn and fabric.

Selling on Etsy has been so great for my mind and my happiness. It stimulates me, challenges me, and validates me.

I'm starting to get ready for the fall and for Christmas. I have a little stock pile of mittens and hats. I'm working on scarves. I'm streamlining my packaging and generally preparing to strike it rich! hahaha!

  1. You have been rockin' Nancy! I love the old timey bike especially. I'm so glad you've been doing well and I think you are going to do even better this Christmas -- good to start now!

I just looked at your latest patches. I think "i" is supposed to be for "Indian." I guess they made the fabric before they started using "PC" language...

  3. *blush* You are right! I couldn't see it before. And now it's totally obvious and totally offensive. I've taken that one out of my shop. Funny, kitchy, and off-beat is allowed in my shop. Rude and racist is not.

    Thank you so much!
