I made this yarn for my mom. This was the first time I made yarn for another knitter! I can't wait to hear how she likes it.
Here it is in the crockpot. I used Wilton's icing dyes to color it. As you can see, I thought it would be a lot darker. I'm a new dyer so I see there's lots to learn.
Even though it's not the color I expected it to be, it has really grown on me. We'll have to see if it's a good color on my mom (she wanted to make a hat with it). I may have to re-dye it.

ReplyDeleteYou guys are sweet! The color was too muted - would have washed her out. So I got some kool-aid and I'm trying again. I'll post pictures when it's dry but it's an awesome color!
