Yarn Along

Hello!  This is my first Yarn Along (though I've been reading about if for a long time on Fifth Lamp Down).  I  haven't knit in a long time.  I mean, I haven't knit anything sizable in at least a year.  I haven't even touched my spinning wheel in over a year.  The yarn is calling to me!!!  I'm going to start a project today with some yarn I've had waiting for quite awhile.  I'm making an Ecuador hack.

I'm reading Just Like Us.  It's a coming of age story of four Mexican girls, two of whom have legal documentation and two of whom do not.  I'm also a teacher and student this summer and I'm reading a lot about adolescent literacy!  The school texts and Just Like Us are a nice compliment.
